Dear @ TheFluff89 - The side dish is a type of egg noodle famous in the Schwäbian part of Germany (near Stuttgart). The noodle is called "Spaetzle" or "Spätzle" (pronounced SPHEDS - LEH). Since the noodle has a rougher texture that typical noodles, it tends to hold gravies and sauces well. Spaetzle are also great sauteed in butter and/or cheese. Our company sells many types and varieties. TheFluff89 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

- there is nothing fake about Chef Uwe Rudnick. He is the real deal. His skills are as delightful as his accent , to which he says, "what accent?" He was born and educated in Germany and his cooking skills have made him sought after Chef in many foreign countries. In recent years he's climbed the ladder from Executive Chef to Food and Beverage Director of a prestigious Hotel. We are so fortunate to have him assisting us with our cooking videos. The average American grocery store won't carry this item. However you can purchase it at online specialty stores in the USA: go to our store GermanDeli (.com) and enter the search term GESCHNETZELTES redphantom85617 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
