It also decreases immune response, insulin response and is the same amount of calories. Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in foods makes them taste better too. There is much more information if you seek it! My favorite is ...Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC... and shares 27 ingredients with PAINT. Put out a tub of margarine on a hot day and see how many flies go after it. NONE, because it's not an organic food!

Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback. A white substance they added the yellow and sold it to people. Very High in Trans fatty acids, Triples risk of coronary heart disease, Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)Increases the risk of cancers up to five times,Lowers quality of breast milk...

Thank you. I am glad you like the recipe. Butter gives this recipe a unique flavor. If butter is not used regularly and in large quantity it's okay in my opinion. I prefer butter to margarine in my cooking. But I use olive oil a lot. Olive oil is the only oil (the extra virgin only) which is pressed from green olive and is not processed. I have a chart for butter to olive oil conversion on my website check it out. Give this recipe a try and share your experience with us. Vera

I am glad you plan to give the baked chicken drumstick recipe a try. No, the end result is not spicy. Paprika is not as hot as cayenne pepper. You can omit one or both spices if you like. Please share the result of your cooking with us. we'll appreciate it.Vera

I would say butter is not very healthy (high cholesterol, etc), for a healthier version you can substitute the butter by directly pour a little bit of olive oil on top of the chicken (not too much though, just few drips) . it can enhance the flavour and lock the moist inside the chicken! :D anw the rest of the recipe is awesome:D

Erm... I think you'll find, she only used half a stick of butter. making it 400 calories based on four sticks being 3200. Divide that between 10 drum sticks and you have just 40 calories of butter per piece of chicken... Sounds pretty moderate to me :)

You're welcome I am glad you like the baked chicken drumstick recipe. Chicken needs to be always cooked thoroughly. Some ovens are hotter than others. therefore it is always good idea to check the chicken before serving to be sure it is cooked through. A thermometer inserted in the thickest part away from bone is the best way to check on chicken otherwise, cut the largest portion and check if it is fully cooked before serving. Enjoy!Vera
