I'm over in Ireland and I have never heard of galangal before. I'd love to be able to cook this meal because when I was in Thailand last year it was delicious. What's the best substitute for galangal if I can't find it? zoozee9 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

: This is an Indian Blender - Sumeet. ShowMeTheCurry (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
: We have not added the fish sauce as we wanted to make it totally vegetarian but you can use that and skip the soy sauce. As for the shrimp paste, we suggest you add it to the dish instead of to the paste.
