Totally agree. I am from the South, where Indian food has largely been free of outside influence. It's extremely healthy and tastes awesome. ThePayola123 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

Cont...from below. I am fairly certain Paneer and Lhassi both came into Indian through the Turco-Afghan invasions starting in the 11th century. I seriously doubt these foods existed before. The Indians combined Lhassi with Mango, which is an Indian concoction. Real Indian healthy food is to be found in Orissa, Kerala, and anywhere free of European and Islamic Influence. Even Hyderabadi cuisine is very much yogurt heavy. Thick yogurt sauces make your cholesterol rise, unhealthy for the heart. ThePayola123 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
She is using English for every other word, so for you linguistically challenged Americans below, just deal with it. Okay now, it's all in English. Now, let's be Honest with ourselves, Moussaka, is an incredibly unhealthy dish to begin with. Taking the meat out, doesn't help all too much. The main problem is the Cheese. Cheese is never healthy. That's why its not part of traditional East Asian Food. Cheese is also used in Northern Indian Mughal Cuisine. I'm talking about Paneer.
