UPDATE: I can't find knödel in Florida so far. Gnocchi works just as well. It's an Italian potato dumpling and tastes the same. I was also going to try Matzo Balls, which look like knödel, except made from wheat.My sister reminded me to use a bay leaf or two while simmering the meat. My mistake... Another video has Herb Alpert, not this one. That first song is The Disadvantages Of You by The Brass Ring. Another song has Al Hirt the trumpet player, possibly mistaken for Herb Alpert. The rest are crooners.
