It's not that you made the correction, it's HOW you did it. English is obviously not her first language, there are ways to point things out that do not come across as arrogant or demeaning. Of course ingredients are important, but how about "nice presentation, might taste good too! For those who don't know, wooden mushroom should be wood ear mushroom. cheers". See the difference?
