Yes you can do this in a crockpot on high - for about 4 to 5 hours :)

The shiitakes do add both flavor and texture to this dish. You can use white button mushrooms or simply leave them out, but the final taste will be a bit different :)

Yes, you can put in any vegies you'd like. Some will add different flavors to the dish, but carrots and potatoes would probably be the best :)

thanks. I picked up some lamb lastnight...can't wait to try it. I don't know if I'll make this recipe because I don't have the bean paste, but really interested in trying the lamb.
