chuck is ground beef with a 20% fat content if you use any leaner on the grill it gets real dry. might as well put cardboard on your bun

After 35+ years of bbqing burgers on the grill, I finally took the plunge, thanks to this video. I bought the meat grinding attachment for the wife's Kitchen-Aid mixer [which could work as a bass troll motor on a boat, by the way] and picked up a chuck roast on sale. Ground it up yesterday, using one slice of bacon per pound of beef. Made the burgers about 30 minutes later. You know what I'm going to say..wait for it.......they were GUUUUD! Best burgers I've ever made!

Yeah that's a good point. I wouldn't use those instant light ones though. They have too much time to let the light fluid penetrate deep within the coals.
