I would have loved to see, the different ways you eat it. Like a finishing plate either as a soup in a bowl or as a side dish on a plate with rice. That would have been nice. onepreciouslady (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

Do green lentils taste the same?? and after soaking them for 1 Hr is it ok to transfer them to a pre heated pot with water but not a pressure cooker? And if so how long does it take in regular pot after the soak of coarse?? Thank you beachfeet1000 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

I always love your recipies. I have learned so much from you. Since I am not from indian origin I don't know so much about indian cooking. My question is what is the reason that one does not cook the lentils together with all the ingirdients like onion, spices... ?
