** Recipe included in my new low carb, gluten free cookbook, Low Carbing Among Friends. Please check it out at our website @ http://www.amongfriends.us **In honor of the coming of summer and my jones'ing for ice cream after running the Minneapolis Marathon last weekend ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... I wanted to post one of the simplest low carb recipes I have ever come across. Unlike normal ice cream recipe, which have a lot of air beat into the cream mixture and can double the size, this recipe does not. It is therefore very rich and very good. While it might be listed as a single serving, you very well could share it.*Join the Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/Atkins... I have to try that! I've seen this before but forgot about it. I really want to have some ice cream now!

Shake the ziplocked liquid cream in a container full of ice and salt to make ice cream fast --- I swear, that has been an activity in my science classes for like 4 times now, and I always fail because the salt would go in the ziplock. -__- I'd just put it in the freezer and be patient. lol. Thanks for this!!

Absolutely! I love this quick way to get ice cream back, and not have to worry about the possible reprocussions weight or GI wise from the missing sugar alcohols.

Here's a suggestion -- go buy Low Carbing Among Friends cookbook. You don't have to watch the video, and you get the benefit of the recipes without the need for snarky comments. :-)

Too much video and not enough detailed writing about all of your recipes on you tube. Too much video...too much talking. Boring............

i have to give you a big thank you. when i have a cruddy day and just want to break and go down to the closest dairy queen (or pizza hut), i can always browse your videos and find quick and easy satisfying alternatives. even if it does set me slightly above my carb limit, still way better than guilt-tripping myself with a blizzard.

Hi Kent, I have whey protein powder Vanilla, and chocolate flavored. High quality stuff no fillers, sweetened with cold pressed Stevia. I bet it would make super ice cream! I never thought about it til I found this post. Thanks!
