@mikeheilig : We do have 2 videos on "Stocking up the Pantry for Indian Cooking" - Part 1 and 2. Please search for them on our website or on our YouTube Channel. These videos are for spices, lentils, beans that are commonly used in Indian cooking. Hope that helps.

I am a novice to Indian cooking (I'm German by heritage and this style and its spices are not familiar to me), but I LOVE it. I could eat it every day and I LOVE your site. Do you have an "Indian Cooking 101" video(s) that can take me through the basics? You know, spices, sauces, essential ingredients?

@mikeheilig : Yes, it is one daal that cooks really fast. You can make it on the stove-top. The water quantity and time - you will have to experiment - sorry :(
