In 1930, our grandfather introduced a little bit of home to the new world. As the neighborhood baker, he served fresh, hearth-baked, Syrian pita bread to friends and family. Beginning long before sunrise, he'd mix, knead, and bake - all by hand - to have warm bread ready for purchase each morning. As time evolved, Damascus Bakeries introduced its beloved pita to other communities, promoting its versatility as a tasty, healthy, fun, pocket bread option. Today, three generations later, we are still committed to giving our customers the taste they expect, the variety they deserve, and the product they love. We are America's Original Pita.1 Panini Flatbread from Damascus Bakeries1 cup of left over turkey pieces1/4 cup of shredded Mexican Cheese1/2 cup of salsa1 tsp of olive oilCoat the pan with olive oil, add turkey pieces to the pan, heat the pan up, add salsa, and cook for 3 minutes. Transfer the cooked turkey on to the panini flatbread. Fold the panini in half, take it to a grill, and heat it up for a minute. Looks very good! This reminds me of a recipe I did called "TASTY TURKEY TACOS". Both appear to be a great way to utilize some leftover turkey portions! VoXoV (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
