| Vanilla ice cream - recipe
What could be better than homemade Italian ice cream on a summer day? Let's learn with Sonia how to make the vanilla ice cream!***What could be better than a creamy vanilla ice cream to round off a sunny day like this? Let's see how to make it at home! We'll need:• 1 cup (250 ml) of heavy cream• 1 ¼ cups (250 g) of white sugar • 1 sachet of vanilla powder (1/8 tsp)• 2 ½ cups (600 ml) of fresh whole milkSo, let's make the vanilla ice cream:In a saucepan, pour the milk, the heavy cream... the white sugar... and the vanilla. Stir and bring the mixture to 185° degrees Fahrenheit (85°C).The reason why we heat it to this temperature is to pasteurize the milk. Now, place in a bowl filled with cold water and ice, to cool it down quickly. When the mixture is cold, keep it in the coldest part of the fridge for at least 2 hours. Now pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and let it run until the ice cream is thick and firm. The ice cream is ready, all we have to do is put it in a food container with lid and keep in the freezer for at least 3 hours before serving. Our delicious vanilla ice cream is ready to be tasted, if you want to make it richer, 1 minute before stopping the ice cream maker, add some dark chocolate flakes. From Sonia and GialloZafferano, bye and see you next videorecipe!

That looks delicious! I've made ice cream using Belgian chocolate truffles. It is a no-cook recipe. Hope you'll take a look sometime. Thanks for an inspiring video! yellowsaffron (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

Use two zip bags one big, and when I say big I mean it, and one a little smaller, just small enough to fit into the other zip bag. In the smaller bag pour this mixture and close the bag. Get your big bag and fill it with ice and a little bot of cold water and sprinkle on some salt and shake it a little bit. Put the smaller bag inside the bigger (and make sure that smaller bag is closed tightly ) and close the big bag and then shake like crazy ! Shake about like half an hour... wjmortician (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

she just said the ingredients differed in terms of Lower butterfat content, that would change the consistency and taste of the product totally, ive also seen some Gelato made with water in a sort of gelato/sorbet form. And gelato you can buy in a store and one an italian galteria will make will taste completely different aswell. If you get the chance to, go get some gelato you will not regret it. The really only way to tell is to literally try it.
