When he started talking about ramen, my eyes lit up and I thought for SURE that I was going to have a Good Eats recipe for traditional ramen (with the meat and veggies and all that). Now I'm sad... BlackWolfessUSCM (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
AB did say he had another show in the works, and if we all know AB, it won't be too far off from the premise of Good Eats, Feasting On Asphault/Waves or being Kitchen Stadium's resident encylopedia. GMoneyStillTippin420 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Unfortunately Good Eats was cancelled but I wish they'd at least continue to release 2 or 3 or 4 hour long specials per year ya know? Don't have to do 13 episode seasons, but theres no reason Alton couldn't continue to series in the form of specials particularly around holidays and stuff, theres so much that never got covered. Wikipedia's "List Of Good Eats Episodes" says that the next Good Eats Special will be on Dark Chocolate. It's scheduled to be foolowed by the "Thanksgiving 2.0" Episode, wich will presumably air in November in time for Thanksgiving.Wich in turn suggests that the Chocolate Special will air in October, In time for Halloween (Great timing for a Chocolate Show). allM3inM3Christ (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Saturated fats are sooo healthy! There's nothing healthier than butter and lard from grass-fed pastured animals. When did all these heart problems start?? When margarine and refined polyunsaturated vegetable oils became popular.... corn oil, soybean oil, Crisco, etc...Alton! Palm oil is a traditional African oil and very healthy when it's unrefined. It's a beautiful red color and has a huge amount of carotenes and Vit. E. LostSorcerer (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

5:56 Turn the volume all the way up. Is someone laughing in the background? It happened at the beginning of this episode too, when he's walking through his pantry and switches the bottles. tubestick00 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
