| Fish balls - quick recipe
Deb suggests a tasty, funny idea for a buffet or an aperitif: the fish balls! Either fried or baked, they won't take you a long time to prepare. Find this and many more recipes on the Giallozafferano App in English http://itunes.apple.com/app/gi... I'll give you a tasty idea to make your buffet richer or to prepare an appetizing, irresistible main course: the fish balls. Let's see how to do! We'll need:• 1 ½ lbs (700 g) of cod fillets• 3,5 oz (100 g) of bread, crust removed• just over ¾ cup (80 g) of grated parmesan cheese• 1 bunch of parsley / 1 sprig of thyme • 2 eggs• 1 clove of garlic / salt and pepper to taste• flour as needed• for frying, vegetable oil as neededWith a knife, finely chop the cod fillets and process the bread in a food processor. Combine them in a bowl, then add the parmesan cheese... the chopped thyme and parsley... and the garlic. Now add the eggs, too... salt and pepper to taste. Then stir well.Roll the resulting mixture into small balls... and coat with flour. Now fry the small balls in hot vegetable oil for about 3 minutes. When the fish balls are golden brown, take them out with a slotted ladle and place on kitchen paper. If you don't want to fry, you can bake them at 350°F (180°C) for 20 minutes. The fish balls are ready, serve hot or at room temperature... good, easy and quick!

I will have to try this, I love the Thai style fish balls, and these look delicious even though they are different. abetcorey (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

if i don't have a food processor, would it be ok to just chope the fish up and try to make it into little balls. also is bread 100% needed? Telekinisis8467 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

It's a matter of preference to pronounce the t at the end, just like it is in the word often, yet some people always try to assert their way of pronunciation as the correct one. Dobsessed (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
