I would love to see you ladies do a fried avocado taco/wrap/sandwich. heavenlypurple1 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
I'm part thai and I make this all the time for my vegan friends. It doesn't taste bad at all. I do it the traditional thai way but instead of fish sauce I use salt and tamarind juice and it still taste good. sapphireeyez85 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
I tried this recipe @home and it turned out to be excellent!! Had a hard time grating the papaya..but nonetheless..it was worth the effort. I also added grated carrots & beans to it for the extra colour and taste.Thank you 'ShowmetheCurry' team for sharing this recipe with us! win2601 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

May I suggest that when you opt for soy sauce, use light soy sauce also called Nam Se-ew Kao. A good brand is 'Healthy Boy' :) lor226 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

Seriously people need to watch and listen to the video carefully b4 they make stupid comments. THIS RECIPE IS MAINLY FOR VEGETARIANS AND VEGETARIANS CAN'T EAT FISH SAUCE... puangpaga (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
never ever used soy sauce in Papaya Salad, because the smell of Soy sauce will ruin the Authentic Som tam (papaya salad) if you can't use fish sauce, maybe salt is better choice, but taste will be different from what Som tum is suppose to be.
